Now a days, eating fast food has become a part of fashion. People and more importantly teenagers love fast food. Those who take fast food frequently become addicted to it and make themselves vulnerable to many harmful effects of fast food.

Fast food is the term given to food that can be prepared and served very quickly. While any meal with low preparation time can be considered to be fast food, typically the term refers to food sold in a restaurant or store with preheated or precooked ingredients, and served to the customer in a packaged form for take-out/
take-away. 
Fast Food usually contain high calories, fats, spices and large amount of salt. This Type of food is not healthy because it contains fats, calories and other substances that exceeds the specified recommended daily intake limits. One should take balanced diet but the Fast food diet is grossly imbalanced.

Fast food with child


If children are allowed and encouraged to take fast food, then they become addicted to it and latter fast food becomes a part of their lifestyle. Such children become vulnerable to various dangerous diseases in their adulthood, such as Obesity, heart diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes, and many other serious disease because, obesity, heart diseases, blood pressure and especially diabetes lead to many other serious diseases.

Therefore, children shouldn't be encouraged and allowed to consume fast food more often. It is better to take balanced, well prepared food than taking a fast food whose origin no body knows.

Fast food is high in calories. Fast food is not balanced. Normal packet of fried potatoes for example may contain 500 calories, hamburgers around 500 calories, and the added drink and soda take the calories up to 2000 or even more.
It means single meal of fast food may give up to 2000 calories or even more.
Average calorie requirement for adult man on average is only about 2000 calories per DAY. While that of children is around 1500-1900 C per day. It Means, only one meal without drinks, fulfils more than half requirement of calories and if we include drinks then taken calories exceed the daily requirement limits and these extra calories appear as fat.

Some fast foods also contain cholesterol and large amount of sugar. While the essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamins, and minerals are ignored and fast food usually contain harmful substances such as preservatives and addictive substances that make people addicted.

Conclusion:


Fast food is harmful to health. It is a cause of various diseases. It is a high calorie food. It contains fats, sugar, preservatives and addiction producing substances. Essential nutrients are not added because they increase the cost and decrease the profit. Try to avoid fast food as much as possible.
