Benign Tumor and malignant tumor. Benign tumor doesn't put life of the person at risk except in some situations for example benign tumor at heart valve may compromise cardiac function. on the other hand malignant tumor may metastasize, invade and destroy the sourrounding tissue and kills the person.

Benign Tumor


1. It is not encapsulated
2. It is non-invasive
3. It slowly Grows, mitotic bodies are normal
4. nucleus to cytoplasmic ration is near to normal
5. It don't metastasize 
6. It don't reoccur once removed by surgery
7. There is no inflammation

Malignant Tumor


1. It is encapsulated 
2. It is invasive
3. Malignant tumor grows rapidly. mitotic bodies are numerous
4. Nucleus to cytoplasmic ration is 1:4 or more
5. It metastasize and form secondary tumors.
6. It tends to reoccur once removed
7. Inflammatory reaction is present, because this tumor undergo necrosis
